	Profile:	Hi! Lachlan here. I have played for Bucksburn and District N/J since 2004 and really enjoy it. I teach the learners on a Monday night which is great experience for me. I am Assistant Lead Drummer, and play lead during our medley contest sets. While I was in the N/J band of the 2008 season we picked up a win at the Scottish, British and World Pipe Band Championships and went on to become Champions of Champions. I entered the World Solo Drumming Championships in 2007, and got 10th out of 39 in the under 13s section. I also showed up at the Brechin Solos and picked up a 5th place out of many competitors. I won the under 17s Hornpipe and Jig in Aberdeen a week later. In 2008 I entered the World Solo Drumming Championships again and came 6th out of 35 including a qualifying stage. I won the under 17s Hornpipe and Jig for the second year in a row which many people have said is a fantastic achievement. I was asked up to the Grade 2 band from L/D Scott Niven for season 2009. I wish the N/J band the best of luck and shall be keeping an eye on their progress throughout the year.
