Bucksburn & District Junior Pipe Band Silver Jubilee

The last Saturday in September 2009 provides a rare opportunity for ALL connected with the Novice Juvenile (or Juvenile) Band to get together and celebrate our achievements in reaching our Silver Jubilee year. From twenty five years of shared experiences and with so many friendships formed, the time seems right to renew old acquaintances and have our very own “homecoming”.

A lot of water has passed under the bridge through time and some “old heads” are working together to track you down and gain your support for this one. Lyndsey McDonald (now Mrs Lyndsey Spiers), Dougie Ogston, Heather Dallas and Graham Gauld are teamed with Vice President Sophie Gibb to create what will surely be an enjoyable and memorable evening? We have the date of 26th September and a hall in Westhill ready in waiting – we now need your contact details and help with “spreading the word” whilst preparations continue.

Ideally we hope to create a “mailing list” of as many former members as possible to keep you both informed of progress and to ensure you are also included when invitations are sent out in early summer. We will also be looking for your help in collecting memorabilia such as press cuttings, video clips and photographs to add to our already rich archives and would hope to create a nostalgic presentation on the night to aid the reminiscing process.

We are looking for you to make this “your night” for renewing old friendships in an informal atmosphere so please forward this link to as many former players as possible.
